Gratitude List 21/10/22
Here is Flo. Walking her, feeding her, and caring for her, shapes my day: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
I walked Flo this morning. We met other London dogs and other dog owners. Snacks were shared. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
In preparation for Friday night dinner, I went to Marks and Spenser @ Charing Cross Station. I took Flo with me, although she is not allowed in, a member of staff will hold her whilst I shop! Really such attention is ridiculous but welcome nonetheless. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
In Marks and Spencer, I bought a bouquet of flowers and took them to my friend Ros at the Witch Ball on Cecil Court. This was to apologise for the fact that yesterday Flo had snapped at her. Really Flo. For recompense. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Friends came for Friday night dinner. I had not seen these friends for dinner since before the lockdown. I realised how much they mean to me. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Even if I say so myself, dinner was good tonight. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
This evening, I drank more wine than perhaps I should have. For exuberance. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
As I write this the rain is pouring down. For the sound of rain. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Shabbat is a simple ceremony of gratitude. there are three prayers. Thank You For Wine, Thank You for Bread. Thank You for Shabbat. I love these prayers. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
As I write this list I am filled with the happiness that is the left over laughter of the evening. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
