Gratitude List 16/10/22

  1. Walking through Museum Street, on the way to Russell Square, I passed a film set. The Rickshaws pictured above were on standby. For exuberance: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  2. For something that was not, I have immense gratitude. Thank Goodness Flo is NOT fast enough to catch the Squirrels who live in Russell Square. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  3. Film sets always amuse me and make me think of the divine. To accurately recreate an hour in the day, might take a film crew a day of hard work. In comparison, it feels that, even when I am just out for a walk, I am given so much, effortlessly. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  4. It is strange living in London. On the one hand, there is so much company, yet I also miss the connections that I had in Totnes. For friendship: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  5. In New Row, I chanced upon a young woman wearing a drum upon her back. Sparkly makeup on her face. She was part of the Extinction Rebellion Protest. She told me that 300 drummers took part. They marched from Hyde Park to Parliament Square, led by young people. For Activism and for repair: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  6. On Friday night I was given a bunch of flowers. Another miracle, how awful it would be not to have flowers. They raise the vibration of the room and fill it with grace. Indeed I am blessed. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  7. There is an Italian Cafe Tropea In Russell Square. Once during lockdown, I forgot my mask. Desperate for coffee I improvised with an unused dog's poo bag. It worked perfectly. The handles fitted around my ears. The bag covered my nose. To this day, the staff in Tropea remember that incident and burst out laughing when they see me. For coffee: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  8. There are benches in Russell Square, some of which humble me as they commemorate lives cut short. For the living of my years. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  9. Today I read a new book written by a friend. The book touched me because it contained holiness and wisdom. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  10. The day was poignant, filled with sunlight and the deep colours and urgency of autumn. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
