Gratitude List 20/9/23
I thought that it would be a splendid idea to dress Flo in her mac, for the first time this year, and before supper, walk in the rain to The Victoria Embankment. Flo not sharing my enthusiasm, walked a very slow walk of resistance and dejection. Therefore, in accordance with her wishes, we just went around the block. Flo has now been fed and is wrapped in a blanket on the Sofa. For the sensibility of dogs: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
We are on the cusp of the autumn equinox. There is so much to be done. For productivity and focus: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
There is a bunch of lilies in the lounge, a kind New Year Gift. For fragrance and the ethereal beauty of white lilies: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
I am on a concerted campaign to become fit. Most days I walk more than 10,000 steps. In the short term this makes me tired. In the longer term I know that it's the right thing to do. For perseverance: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
I worked with clients today, by zoom and by phone. Indeed I am blessed. I hope that they felt blessed too! For the miracle of work: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
I chatted with Zach in Edinburgh. He will be 24 on the 24th of September. How can this be so? Where did the years go? For the profound privilege of having Zach as a son. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Revisiting the gratitude practice, I realise how much I missed it when I allowed it to lapse. For the Gratitude Practice and for prayer. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
It has rained here on and off all day. I love the rain and the cosiness that it brings. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
I touched base with a friend of many years who is dear to my heart. Previously we had lost touch for a while. For enduring love. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
For the sweet pace of the day which had incidents that made me smile. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
