Gratitude List 29/12/12
Today was an interesting and strange day. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
There was a coaching session with a client in Germany today. Sometimes Zoom reminds me of the episodes of Star Trek that I used to watch as a child. Travelling through space. I can send energy healing from England to Germany very effectively. I am proud that I have this skill. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Due to my bad cold and cough I cancelled all of my arrangements over Chanukah and Christmas. Almost unheard of not to have guests. For the first time in the holiday season guests are invited for Friday Night Dinner. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
I wanted to be ahead for tomorrow and needed some fresh vegetables. So I took the no.24 bus from Charing Cross Road to Goodge Street Station. There is an M & S close by that is open to 10pm. I left at 9pm. It felt incongruous to be out shopping so late. But also curiously liberating: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
It feels rough at the far end of Tottenham Court Road. There are 5 or 6 tents neatly pitched in the shop frontage of Heals. It's not possible to dream or write in my head, because people without a home constantly approach asking for money. Usually I have some spare change with me. Today I forgot. It felt jarring not to be able to give. For rebalance, dignity, a home for every one. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
All of the bus stops between Goodge Street Station and Leicester Square are closed. This meant walking back, carrying two bags of shopping. I passed the new Soho Theatre, which is magnificent and I walked by Foyles, Denmark Street and Cambridge Circus.Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Finally I came to the Ivy, the entrance decorated as above. Because I have been missing the softness of Devon, I liked seeing the outsized pheasant. I put down the two bags of groceries to take the photo. I vowed to find myself inside in The Ivy in 2023. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
I cannot describe the sanctity of how welcome it was to leave the busy street and enter into the flats where I live. So much gratitude. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Today I sent out a newsletter and received some kind notes back. The fact that people are kind enough to bother really nourishes me. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
For all of the contradictions, the craziness, the sanity and peace of the day. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
