For Grace, for History, for The Thames and for Swans. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

Gratitude List 27/9/23

  1. Flo and I set off to Borough Market. To my shame, I had not visited before, it has been on my list to visit. We walked across The Charing Cross Footbridge and along the Southside. For new adventures and the chance to muse on the way. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  2. Borough Market is past the Millennium Bridge, around by The Globe Theatre. This is a good walk, people smile and say hello as we go along. For remembering to take an apple with me: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  3. Just before The Globe, there is a pub called The Swan. In front of the Pub floating like serene waterlilies, are Swans. They seemed almost surreal, as if they had been there for ever. I suspect that they have. For Grace, for History, for The Thames and for Swans. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  4. Borough Market, A Foodie Heaven did not disappoint. It was full of passion. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  5. I did not have the energy to walk all the way back, so took x 2 buses, first to Holborn and then another to Shaftsbury Avenue. For buses: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  6. I did not realise that the Art Exhibition I was invited to on Monday, was on the doorstep of Borough Market, so in the evening I retraced my steps, crossing the Millennium Bridge from St Pauls. In the evening the skyline and water was monochrome. It delighted me to once again pass by the Swan Pub and notice that the Swans were still there. For magic: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  7. The invitation to the Art Exhibition came out of the blue and was an opportunity to step into some wonder. I will write about it in full for KS. For joy and for learning. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  8. I walked back over Southwark Bridge. It was tranquil to walk out in the evening. The moon was almost full. I felt that I was walking in a realm of energy and beauty. For beauty, and for the night: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  9. I caught the number 15 bus from Mansion House Tube Station. I got off at Charing Cross Station and went into the 24 hour Co-op, made famous during the pandemic for supplying 10, Downing Street with drinks. I bought some chocolate: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  10. As during the day I walked 18,609 steps, I felt that I deserved the chocolate. For making steps forward. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
