Gratitude List 12/3/23
For breakfast with a kind friend, who as ever bolstered me; Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
For interesting conversation with said friend: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
The walk to Lincoln Inn Fields took Flo and I down Queen's St, past the Free Masons Lodge and The Grand Connaught rooms. I asked this couple "is anything special happening to day?" The Groom replied, 'we are getting married', I replied "mazel tov, blessings on your day". The response of The Groom "Le Chaim!" and the bride: "we usually wear jeans!''. Ah so endearing and funny. Indeed blessings to them both. For "Le Chaim!" Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Two seconds before these two, who were the main event, I passed a fleet of NHS Para medics Ambulance Response Bikes. These were parked on the pavement whilst the Paramedics were having their breakfast. For the NHS: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
There was not much time for meditation or forest bathing in the Fields today. A telephone conversation with my mum, and then people stopping to admire Flo. The Parakeets brazen and screeching seemed to follow me the whole way around. For engagement: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
I worked by zoom with a client in Quebec. For connection: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
I spoke with dear friends, one in Italy, the other in London. Not quickly and in passing but in depth, with time generously given, stories exchanged: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
I wanted to walk 10,000 steps today but for some reason I was too tired. For strength: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
For conversations with each of my sons. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Tomorrow is a special day for me. A boundary must be held. For firm resolve. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
