For renewal and for repair, transformation and rebirth. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

Gratitude List 17/11/23

  1. The Pelicans in St James Park amuse me and lift my spirits. Without doubt they pose. Without doubt they accept homage. For entitlement: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  2. I looked for the spiritual meaning of Pelicans. It is transformation and rebirth. May it be so. For renewal and for repair, transformation and rebirth. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  3. If you enjoyed the Narnia Stories, St James Park (in my opinion) is the closest place that I know to Narnia. The animals that live there, know their worth, and seem to adopt a semi film star status. For the right to strut. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  4. When Flo is off the lead the squirrels give her a wide berth. If she is on her lead they like to torture her by coming up close. So near and yet so far. Alas. For chutzpah: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  5. The leaves on the trees are on the turn. The sight of the colour tugs at my heart and makes me feel stretched between melancholy and cosiness. I feel overdosed on beauty and transience and long for chocolate. Alas I am dieting. For self discipline: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  6. Truly I am not sure whether or not this Park is a place of sanity or madness. It certainly can feel existential. Today I could not cross to Green Park. I was caught in between the road and the Changing of the Guard and had to wait for a procession to pass. For the boom boom boom of the band and the clopping of horses hooves: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  7. For texture, colour, sound. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  8. Walking through the Park I thought about the gratitude practice. It helps to keep me lifted. Without it I fall. For the power of appreciation: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  9. I walked the loop, around the edge of the lake, past The Ritz, down Jermyn Street with its shoes and posh dressing gowns and the welcoming doors of St James Church, through the edge of Leicester Square and home. I love this walk. For joyousness: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  10. I had work to do today. Indeed I am blessed. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
