Gratitude List 8/10/22

1. The day was busy yesterday. I travelled to Exeter to take Zach some things needed for university. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

2. For the chance to breathe in air from the sea @ Slapton Sands. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

3. Slapton Sands is a place of great poignancy. During WW2 Lives were lost on this stretch of coast. For this time, this place, this life: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

4. We went into the Start Bay Inn. Zach has visited here his whole life. Once we ate in the Family Bar. In the 'grown-up' bar, he insisted on paying for our lunch. For that quickening of tears that arrive as I write this: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

5. It was lovely to see the sky hit the earth and to be surrounded by so much beauty. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

6. Driving back home, I travelled by the light of the full moon. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

7. I came back into Covent Garden, The West End. A different sea, of people. For life, for energy. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
