1. I went, by train to visit my mother. We have had a few rocky weeks. Too much was said for either of our comfort. For reconciliation and renewal:Thank You, Thank You Thank You.
2. The last part of my journey, to my mother, is a single tracked railway line, from Ipswich to Melton. The simplicity of the single track reminded me of childhood stories. For focus and direction. Thank You, Thank You Thank You.
3. Because things had been so bad between us, I sincerely dreaded the visit. When I arrived at Melton I considered just continuing to the end of the Line. However I got off the train and consciously braced myself. Yet when I arrived at her door, my mother hugged me and apologised. For grace; Thank You, Thank You Thank You.
4. The Patterdale whose name is Flo was an earthly angel for this visit. My mother has fallen in love with her. Flo is attentive more or less 24/7: Just what my mother needs. My mother is also attentive more or less 24/7: Just what Flo needs. Thank You, Thank You Thank You.
5. In the whole of this adventure of relocation and transition, one of the hardest things to bear is not having Flo with me. To be able to sit with her, to walk her bought me great joy. Thank You, Thank You Thank You.
6. I have gratitude to my mother for looking after Flo: Thank You, Thank You Thank You.
7. The train took me back to London. It was not late. Then the underground took me to the overground that took me to the bus, that took me home. The complexity of public transport, or any transport always amazes me. Thank You, Thank You Thank You.
