Gratitude List 14/2/23
London felt very Valentine (ish) today. Once I would have being scathing at the 'over commercialism' of love, but it seems that I have grown more tolerant. For the times when love is palpable. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
The no.24 bus starred in 'Mrs Harris Goes to Paris', which was set just after WW2. It still runs today, along Charing Cross Road to SouthEnd Green and I took it this morning. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
I enjoy writing in cafe's because even when there are being babies being fed and general chatter in the background there are less distractions than at home. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
The photo is from the grounds of Keats House and Library in Hampstead. I love this library for its grand setting, magnificent stained glass window, that it is fully run by volunteers and I always pick up interesting books. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
In the street a woman, whom I did not know, recognised me from my articles in Cygnus and greeted me by name. I was startled. For recognition: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Because it is half term there are more children and young people out and and about than usual. I overhear odd snippets of conversation that amuse me. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Project clean the house is still in operation. It bemuses me how time consuming cleaning is. For efficiency: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
I lapse into sadness because it is Valentines Day and I do not have a partner. I completely get the foolishness of this reaction. For the love that I receive from everyone in my life, which is more than enough, and for being entire unto my self. For a Happy Valentines Day (To You!) Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
For the space in my life to allow a partner in the future; Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
For buoyancy and resilience:Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
