Gratitude List 31/12/22
I went to walk on Hampstead Heath. It was raining. I enjoyed walking in the rain. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Flo does not enjoy walking in the rain. However she does like looking out of the window from the top of the bus to get there. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
I have a long association with Hampstead. It always nourishes me to go back, even if only for a brief visit. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
When I returned my neighbours invited me in for a glass of champagne. I love champagne. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
There are still oranges to eat, and Christmas Cake. In my own interests I am giving the Christmas Cake away as fast as I can. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
It's the end of the year 2022. I am making some intentions for the next year. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Meanwhile, looking back over 2022, I have much to be grateful for. Friendships rank Chief amongst the year long gratitude list. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
When I go about my day I notice various unravellings. For example I could not catch the no. 24 bus today because it was out on strike. I took the 29 to Camden Town and caught the 168 to Hampstead Heath. Amidst all of this, the bus driver of the 29 bus, who advised me on the way, picked me up again on the way back and remembered me. For cohesion: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
For a brief zoom chat with a friend: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
For the year ahead (please g-d) : Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
