I posted a card to my friend for her birthday: of course it will arrive late (why change a habit of a life time) but I thought a bit about red letter boxes and the red bus 172 that takes me back to the place that I stay in London. I have much gratitude to the people who get up early and make things easier for me by providing a solid infrastructure. I know that my card will arrive (late) and that the bus will arrive, may be also late but it shows up.
