One of my acquaintances is a Mudlarker. This means that she has a permit to search the bank of the Thames for treasure.

Gratitude List 26/6/24

  1. This picture is of a whimsical arch in Russell Square. It is made of Hazel Nut Trees. I like it because it appears to have no reason, in my imagination it is a pathway from one realm to another. For passages between worlds: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  2. I was in Russell Square last Saturday having breakfast with my son Zach. It is our tradition before he goes back home. Another tradition is a sausage for Flo. Later that day Zach returned to Edinburgh. For time spent with Zach: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  3. London at the moment is HOT, HOT, HOT. This morning, before the sun was high, I walked with Flo to Lincoln's Inn Fields. For an oasis in the heart of London. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  4. On the way, I passed the Freemasons's Hall. I walked over memorial stones etched with the names of men who died young in the service of freedom. For freedom: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  5. Today there were groups of Freemasons on the pavement outside. They were wearing aprons and regalia. It is the first time that I have seen this uniform. It was intricate and interesting. I realise that I know very little about Freemasonry. For freedom of expression and purity. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  6. We passed the Oxfam Shop on Drury Lane. I gave in a bag of 'gleanings'. For less clutter: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  7. I now have friends in Lincoln's Inn Park. Mostly I know the names of the dogs. Not so often the owner's names. One of my acquaintances is a Mudlarker. This means that she has a permit to search the bank of the Thames for treasure. I adore the term 'Mudlark'. For wonderous eccentric words: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  8. During the day I received messages from clients giving me their news. For being honoured with connections: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  9. For water to drink and a place out of the sun. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  10. For soft balmy air, and the sight of many people holding icecreams: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
