Gratitude List 23/4/23

  1. For the lavishness and for the abundance of spring, especially blossom: Thank You: Thank You: Thank You.

  2. Josh, Zach and myself went en masse to visit my mother; For support, unity, family:Thank You: Thank You: Thank You.

  3. For years I was the one in the driving seat. On this journey the men (my sons) were in the front, and I was relegated to the back seat. Hmm. For the capacity to adapt , surrender: Thank You: Thank You: Thank You.

  4. Not that long ago, it was not possible for my mother and I to spend time peacefully together. Now we have both mellowed. For peacefulness and reconciliation, huge gratitude: Thank You: Thank You: Thank You.

  5. My mother delights in the the company of her grandsons and has a huge love for them;Thank You: Thank You: Thank You.

  6. We were together in a restaurant when the 3pm alarm went off. By the sea, there were around 7 or 8 dogs sitting with their owners, under tables. The alarm caused the dogs to howl and bark. They took the matter very seriously: For protection:Thank You: Thank You: Thank You.

  7. After a pause and laughter, at a 101 Dalmatian's moment, everyone continued with their business. I thought of places in the world that do not currently hold peace, Ukraine and Myanmar for a start. When an alarm does not signify a brief moment of distraction. For a moment my heart froze and felt as if it bled. Then my attention returned to our lunch, conversation continued. For peace on earth: Thank You: Thank You: Thank You.

  8. This was a long day, from London to Southwold and back. For reunion. For poignancy, for patience: Thank You: Thank You: Thank You.

  9. I am afraid to say, that having the luxury of being ferried, and sitting in the back seat did not fill me with gratitude. My bad as my son is a very good driver. For grace and for being able to draw back. Thank You: Thank You: Thank You.

  10. All in all this was quite a day. A day for which I had and have huge gratitude. For the pleasure of arriving home, taking my shoes off and having a cup of tea: Thank You: Thank You: Thank You.
