Gratitude List 17/3/23
I put Flo's raincoat on her and ran to the post office to post my mum her mothers day present. For rain and the peace that it brings: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
A letter arrived from the NHS. I had the all clear on a test that I had recently taken. I held the letter in my hand and thought for a moment of how my world would have been turned upside down if I did not receive the 'all clear'. For 'the all clear', deepest gratitude. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
A reading that I gave went askew. This has happened very rarely in my career as a Reader. The occurrence caused me to feel much grief. For resilience: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Unexpectedly I was asked to work once again, in Buddha on a Bicycle. It was a quiet day, but still interesting. For inclusion: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
For the ceremony of Shabbat: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Just for once I did not make a full Friday night chicken dinner. Instead Josh contributed Fish and Chips. For support and for change: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
A friend with whom I have not spoken for months called. Last time we had spoken there had been anger. Now it felt that it was water under the bridge. As this person is dear to me it was wonderful to hear his voice once again and to have peace between us. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
For reconciliation and renewal: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
The beauty of fish and chips for supper is that the washing up is minimal. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
I remembered to use the plate warming device that I stored in the cupboard. Now there's a thing! warm plates. How decadent and how grown up! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
