Gratitude List 30/11/22
I spotted this dragon on the way out of London. Most inspiring. I am cultivating my inner dragon! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Today is the birthday of my grandmother, Lilian Frances Agambar. May she rest in peace. I am eternally grateful for the love and care that she gave me. She passed over when I was 25. As I write this, still my tears fall. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
In memory of her mother, I took my mother a bunch of Lilies. They were and are deeply beautiful. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
For an afternoon with my mother, that included harmony and laughter, again much gratitude. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
There is a routine to be followed on the visit to my mother. We discuss our diets and then we rush to Southwold for Fish and Chips which we eat, outside on the harbour. We have to get there by closing time at 3 pm. Then the night draws in. My mum is now 84, her memory is better than mine. And she is indomitable. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
The other part of the visit includes a few chores and some shopping. There is not much variation. I withdraw cash from the cash machine in Southwold. Then I buy some things from the Coop. Then on the way back I stop and pay her paper bill. I am trying to be more consistent and steadfast. There is a comfort in this routine: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Another part of the journeying (in the autumn) includes a visit to the apple farm. Large boxes of apples line the farmyard, each containing buckets and lots of apples sorted into various varieties. One bucket of apples costs £3.00. The money has to be posted into an honesty box. I adore transactions like these which are based on trust. However, that does not stop me from precariously filling the buckets to their maximum capacity. For harvest and for bounty: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
For safe traveling. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
For connection. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
For my Grandmother, and for my mother. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
