In reality I should be writing, not reading. I proceed to read. For discipline and for tomorrow.....

Gratitude List 7/2/23

  1. Out on my travels I notice the bike that the florist on Tavistock Street uses to buy his stock. It reminded me of the market history of Covent Garden. Shining in the sunlight the bike seemed to me to be iconic, as if it could fly through the sky. For dreams: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  2. Destruction that occurred far from me, yet so near, bought sadness today. For compassion, for repair, for healing, miracles, resources and for love: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  3. I went to the opticians to reinstate my contact lens. For stability and order in my day: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  4. A note of thanks arrived from a client. Really I am also thankful, if my work is received. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  5. Sometimes St Martins Lane, feels a bit like a village. During the day, I hear school children passing and the sound of horse hooves. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  6. I have the new Patrica Cornwall on the go. In reality I should be writing, not reading. I proceed to read. For discipline and for tomorrow: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  7. Passing Selfridges I made a detour to look in the food hall. I admire the perfect bouquets and spot tiny ready cooked quails eggs costing £4.95 for twelve. They remind me of how beautiful and shy quails are. I do not buy the eggs. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  8. Sitting at the front of the top of the bus, where once (nearly 60 years ago) I sat with my grandmother, I notice that someone had forgotten their gloves. I hope that some new ones come their way, or perhaps they will reclaim them from lost property. For reunification: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  9. Of all things, in the Robert Dyas Sale I bought a plate warmer. This will up the anti for Friday Night Dinner (FND): In the light of everything for all the privilege of FND dinner on a warmed up plate, most profound and deepest gratitude. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  10. The day was coldly beautiful and bought much clarity: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
