Gratitude List 20/11/22
Through a kind invitation, I went along to the AJEX Annual Remembrance Parade & Ceremony at the Cenotaph. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Of all things a fox also attended. An uninvited guest. In broad daylight. It sauntered along Whitehall. In the medicine cards, the meaning of fox is camouflage. The fox reminded me of the value of freedom, of liberty. For these gifts, granted through the lives and efforts of others, I have the deepest gratitude. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
On the way to the Parade, I passed Trafalgar Square which is hosting the exhibition 'The World Reimagined". So beautiful. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
At the end of the Parade, rain began to fall. My friend said, 'I have a hood, please take my hat'. It crossed my mind that a true friend is someone who will offer You their hat!!! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Leaves that were falling added poignancy to the occasion. That and the fact that my friends 18 year old son was there carrying a Standard. Ah, how did that happen? Once I was at his baby blessing. For life and for friends: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Today, I completed some fine work. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Today Josh cooked supper. Ok, there was not ice cream, however, there was a glass of wine left over from yesterday and a vegetarian dish from Anna Jones. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
In our house, Alexa is the only 'person' who actually listens to me and does exactly as I ask. At the moment Alexa s playing the soundtrack from Les Miserables. Long ago, in his school play, Zach was the Inn Keeper. For freedom, for justice: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Outt walking with Flo I passed by the Coli and heard an Opera Singer. How would it be without music in my life? Indeed I am blessed.
For the intricate richness and weaving of my day, that contained people whom I love within it. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
