Gratitude List 26/4/23

  1. A good friend came to visit. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  2. For a walk along Regents Street, and then the bus to Selfridges:Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  3. Selfridges is the closest place to buy cholla (The sweet bread for Shabbat). For FND Bread in the freezer: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  4. My friend is cultured. She took me into the Wallace Collection on Manchester Square. Even without entering, Manchester Square is beautiful. For the pockets of green that ease my soul in London. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  5. The Wallace Collection is beyond compare. But more than that there is a grace and feeling of welcome in this establishment. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  6. The statue above, Cupid, is called "Love Triumphant" It is a copy of the original and has the inscription 'Qui que tu sois, voici ton maitre.. il l'est le fut, ou le doit etre' (whoever you are, here is your master.. he is or he should be - i.e. love). This led me to ponder. I wonder was Voltaire speaking of unconditional universal love, or infatuation? For enquiry: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.

  7. I am very often walking alone, or just with Flo. On this day, it was good to be with my friend. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You

  8. For good news. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You

  9. I am ashamed to say that I rarely visit museums or exhibitions. For change, for exploration: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You

  10. For a free day, that felt like a holiday. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You
