Gratitude List 22/1/23
It was so cold in the morning that I took my time going out with Flo. This was a shame, because I missed the procession for the Chinese New Year. However I did catch glimpses of celebration. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
As You most likely know, this year is the year of the Water Rabbit. It symbolises longevity, peace, and prosperity in Chinese culture. 2023 is predicted to be a year of hope. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
I walked in the shadow of the celebrations, passing along Denmark St, where I noticed serious guitar shops, e.g Regent Sounds and saw the door knocker above. For transportation into another world. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Many roads in the area that I live had been closed for the Chinese New Year. That meant I could literally walk down the middle of Charing Cross Road. For expansion: Thank You, Thank You, thank You.
Small Children had rabbits ears on their heads. Ah. So charming. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
It was good to feel the force of the energy left behind by the procession that had proceeded my walk. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Zach left for Exeter. For his presence and company: Thank You, Thank You, thank You.
In the evening I went to a shiva. For honour, for ritual, for, community, for prayers and for life: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
For safe passage on roads that had ice. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
For kindness and for love. For my place. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
