Gratitude List 10/2/23
Passing this building, on Shorts Gardens, I thought of kintsukuori, and also (in Judaism) the duty of Tikkun Olam- repair of the world, and repair of self. It seems to me that it takes as much, or even more care, to make a repair as to make something new. For diligence, faith and for healing: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
There was a situation that needed a deep repair. I undertook my usual practise (sitting on a park bench and asking Angels for help). Insight came. And recovery. For this I have the greatest gratitude. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Today, was the day of the special FND, and opening the large jar of olives. Flowers, wine, and people came to the table. We did not eat all of the olives. For FND: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Putting food into the oven, and taking it out cooked, feels like a miracle. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
FND allowed me to spend nearly a whole day cooking. This gave me great joy. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
For the family and friends (beloved) who honoured the table: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
It has been a while since there has been a larger gathering. Some of the chairs looked a bit wobbly. I took out the camping mallet to knock them back together again. It worked but I lost my nerve. Sometimes intention alone is not enough. Glue is also needed! Neighbours came to the rescue and lent a couple of chairs. For kindness: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
There is always a poignancy in gatherings. Some of us must depart and it will be a while before we are together again. For this moment, this place, this time. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Let it not be forgotten that FND begins with prayers. For sacredness: Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
For Love the that underpins us, even when we are apart. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
